A sign of fall

We found cicada's empty shell in the courtyard the other day.

It is said that cicadas live undergraound as nymphs, maybe 2-4years. Well, he might stayed here at the courtyard since opening of Hotel Niwa Tokyo in May 2009.

This is a crape-myrtle, now beautiful flowers are blooming at the entrance.

Still the hot days continuing, we feel a signs of fall around us.

Homemade Ginger Ale

We’ve started a Homemade Ginger Ale in our restaurant Grill & Bar ”LIEU”.
It’s spicy and has fresh flavor. In addition to ginger, 5 natural herbs such as clove and star anise are blended.

That recipe is originally made by the Chef Horiuchi and the Hall Chief Ito.
These ingredients are good for your appetite and perfect for the hot summer!
